Choosing The Right Photographer
When it comes to hiring a photographer, a lot goes into finding the best fit for your project. Don’t be afraid the ask the artist questions! Whatever project you have in mind, you need to be sure the photographer is equipped to handle the needs you have. A great way to do this is to ask questions. Having questions ready when you talk to the photographer also allows them to get to know you better as their client. So what should you consider when hiring a photographer?
- Does the photographer’s skillset match the purpose of the project?
- If this is a big project, will there need to be multiple photographers hired?
- What is the desired location of the photoshoot? (i.e. a studio, at an office, in a public park)
- Is the photographer local to where I want to shoot or will they need to travel?
- Are there additional fees like equipment rentals or travel fees for this photographer?

What is your "photo style?"
My photography style is traditional. I love photos you can look back on in a decade and think, “this is still beautiful today.”
This means that my photos are true to color, warm, and don’t use trendy styles, like film grain, color burns, or double exposures.
What does a typical photo session look like?
For family photos, we will rotate through various poses and order of family members during our one-hour long session.
For graduate photos, we will shoot at up to 2 desired locations through various poses. Don’t forget your cap, gown, and any important memorabilia for your shoot!
For corporate headshot photos, we will set up a station to capture consistent headshots. Each member photographed will take up to 5 minutes. Once we have captured every member of your team, a session is complete.
Do you require a down payment?
Yes, I require a 50% down payment to lock in your date and time. Final payment is due after delivery of your digital gallery.
What if I need prints?
At this time, I do not provide digital prints as a service. If you need portraits printed, I recommend using Mpix for gallery prints, books, and more.
